Cymae
2016, installation
The cyma –a small wave in ancient Greek– refers both to the horizontal molding at the top of the Greek columns and to the neutral wall used to subdivide exhibition spaces. In this site-specific installation in the basement of Espace Arlaud, the space was transformed by the horizontal mirroring of the arches. The simple architectural element becomes, through its very extension, a door or an airplane window to another world. In collaboration with Lucas Uhlmann.
